Android: the Microsoft Launcher supports multi-SMS and calls

The popular Microsoft Launcher in the beta phase with SMS and telephony

24.06.2018

Microsoft has upgraded its beta version to the 4.11 version of the popular Microsoft Launcher on Android with new features. A nice feature is the confirmation of a call by voice, which is realized by Cortana (voice assistant).

Multi SMS

A feature that is questionable nowadays is the multi-SMS function. With this function, the Microsoft Launcher divides a written SMS - longer than an SMS - into several SMS and then sends them. The question arises for me, who is still writing a very long SMS message today? SMS is only an option if no WhatsApp message can be sent - speaks in an emergency. And then you stop short and write. "Call me back" or "I don't have an internet connection".

With the update, Microsoft made the reading view of the Edge browser more user-friendly. And as with many updates, fixed a few bugs and made small improvements.

The new functions are currently limited to the beta version of the app. It is necessary to register as a beta user in order to receive the new version 4.11. Patient users will automatically receive an update in a not too long time.

The Microsoft Launcher is very popular and has more than 10 million users. It offers a large number of useful personalization settings.

The Ivy is also a good Android launcher - read here:
