Google Gmail with a new “Undo Send” function

Gmail undoes the sending of emails if necessary

Search engine extends "Undo Send" function

Google has expanded the "Undo Send" function of its Gmail email service. From now on, users have 30 seconds to cancel sending a message. The feature is still quite unknown and is currently in a test phase.

"Undo Send" has been around since March 2009. The function enables you to undo sent emails. Initially, however, you had to decide to cancel a message within five seconds. Users can now choose between 10, 20 and, from now on, 30 seconds.
The feature is very helpful if, for example, attachments, additional recipients or even further text have been forgotten. The e-mail is always sent after the specified period - because the function is switched on for this period.

Activate feature quickly
If you want to try "Undo Send" yourself, you can only do that with your own Gmail account. To do this, the overview page of all additional functions and web applications must be called up and then the menu item "Other experiments on Google" activated. On the next page there is the link to Gmail-Labs. Finally, the feature only needs to be activated and the change saved.
