Windows 10 and Snapdragen face a bright future

06.06.2018
The desire to bring Windows and ARM processors together has long been there from Microsoft and Qualcomm. At the beginning of the year they weren't as confident as they are now. According to Miguel Nunes, Head of Product Management for Windows Devices at Qualcomm, the first notebooks or 2-in-1 devices should come onto the market this year.

2018 won't be a complete breakthrough as companies will focus on 32-bit apps for the time being, but the good news is that the driver issues are under control. It takes Qualcomm a lot of time to reach this milestone alone and gives everyone confidence for the future.

The next step for Windows and Snapdragen 845

The goal is actually clear. Run 64 bit apps natively on Snapdragen processors. And the attraction of the ARM processors, and especially the Snapdragen 845, is more power with little energy supply or even less than before. The Snapdragen 845 is again 25% more powerful than its predecessor and up to 30% less power consumption depending on the benchmark.

The economy is based on the Dynamiq technology from ARM this platform improves the processing of data in clusters with eight core processors.

This topic is certainly worth discussing, so I would appreciate a comment in the forum.
