With the Xi3 Modular, Xi3 Corporation has presented a computer which is probably unique of its kind.

The dimensions alone speak for themselves, with 101,6 / 92,8 / 92,8 mm there should be no space for various connections.

But far from it.

The Xi3 Modular offers 6 USB 2.0 ports, e.g. still DVI, two eSATA, audio in / out and connection options for a monitor.

A place could also be found for the Ethernet connection.

The computing power is handled by an Athlon X2 4200+ with 4 GB of RAM.

In order to enable a later upgrade, the mainboard was divided into 3 parts.

The processor, the connections and the input / output can be exchanged individually.

The eye-catching housing, made of aluminum, also serves as the computer's heat sink.

This mini PC is expected to go on sale in early 2011 in various metallic colors.

However, the price is a bit steep, around $ 850 was quoted by the manufacturer.
