G Data is once again ahead in an independent virus protection test

A new computer malware appears on average every two seconds (source: G Data SecurityLabs). An effective security solution is therefore a must for every internet user. For its current comparison test, the renowned test laboratory AV-Comparatives checked which security software really protects PCs against online threats and put 20 virus protection solutions to the test.

The Innsbruck testers came to a clear result: G Data AntiVirus 2012 provides Internet users with the best protection against all kinds of malware. With an impressive recognition rate of 99,7 percent, G Data achieved the best result in the test and received the coveted “Advanced +” seal of approval from AV-Comparatives. The German manufacturer had already impressed in the large comparison test by Stiftung Warentest (04/2012) - here, too, G Data was recognized as the best virus protection.

According to AV-Comparatives, the malicious code detection rate is one of the most important criteria for determining the reliability and performance of antivirus solutions.
