The free little tool creates a RamDisk drive conveniently and easily. Nowadays, for reasons of cost, 4 GB of RAM are simply built into computers, although these cannot be fully used from a purely technical point of view.

With the help of Gavotte RamDisk, a 32-bit operating system can work with Windows with 4 GB of RAM. As standard, a 32-bit Windows operating system can only address 2,9 GB of RAM. See Windows system properties:

With Gavotte RamDisk, the unused main memory can easily be converted into a RAM drive. A RAM drive is much faster than current SSD hard drives (as of 2011). What can such a RAM drive be used for? For example, swap out the swap file or other temporary Windows directories to the fast RAM disk.
