A PCIe slot is required for the PC version.

The notebook card is simply connected to the Express Card slot.

Both cards have a transfer rate of 5 Gb.

According to the manufacturer, Lindy, an approx. 700 MB file would be copied to an external hard drive in a few seconds.

Both the PC card and the notebook variant provide 2 of the fast outputs.

Another advantage of these cards is the power supply to the external hardware.

The USB 3.0 connections provide 900 mA per port, so external hard drives can do without their own power supply.

Both cards can be used from Windows XP.

In order to optimally connect the cards to a USB 3.0 external hard drive, Lindy also offers the right connection cable.

The PCIe Express card costs 38 euros, the Express card for notebooks 36 euros.

The connection cables are priced between 7 euros and 27 euros, depending on their length.
