WeTab presents the first tablet with the open MeeGo operating system

The WeTab is just as good-looking as the Apple IPad and offers options that are denied to the IPad by Apple. 

The WeTab has 2 integrated USB ports, a card reader, audio output and a standard SIM card slot HDMI.

A 1,66 GHz Intel Atom N450 Pineview-M is used as the processor.
With a size of 11,6 "with 1366 x 768 pixels, the display also offers more color and multi-touch than the IPad competitor.
In addition to Flash and Adobe AIR, apps that were developed for the Google Android operating system are also supported.

The WeTab OS is based on a current and powerful Linux distribution. However, the entire user interface has been completely redesigned and specially developed for touch pads.
In addition to our own WeTab apps, Android, Adobe Air, standard Linux applications and completely web-based services are also supported. The entire system has a strong focus on open source components.

The capacity of the WeTab is 16 GB, of the WeTab 3G 32 GB. The storage space can be increased by up to 32 GB (SDHC) using the internal SD card slot. External storage devices (USB sticks, external hard drives) can also be connected via the USB interface and a NAS can be accessed via a wireless network. With the WebTab it is even possible to enjoy mobile television via a DVB-T stick.


Furthermore, there is the possibility to save or synchronize content on the online storage of the WeTab Cloud. This gives the user the advantage that he can also access his data via other devices.

WebTab is HD ready and WeTab 3G supports HD up to 1080p. HD films can also be viewed on the television or projector via the HDMI output.

WebTab is available in two versions that are currently only available in black.

The smaller model has 16 GB of internal memory and connects to the Internet via the WLAN module. It will be available for 449 euros.

The larger WeTab 3G model has 32 GB of internal memory and also offers 3G and GPS and costs 569 euros.

The WeTab will initially only be sold in Germany. For this purpose, MediaMarkt and Amazon have gained two strong partners, from whom the WeTab can already be pre-ordered.
