Data Becker has released a free extension for its tuning and tweaking solution "TWIN 7 - Tuning Windows 7". With the update, the software is expanded to include the "booster".

The booster as a new and free function extension for the TWIN 7 tuning solution

The new function switches off unnecessary background processes and inactive applications in order to concentrate the CPU performance on a specific running application. If you want to use resource-hungry software for video editing or a complex 3D game, you simply start the booster to free up resources. The booster module for TWIN 7 can be downloaded free of charge. All that is required is registration by the user.

The booster contains predefined profiles that are based on common use cases (Office, games) from daily Windows practice. This means that even users without extensive PC knowledge can safely switch off superfluous processes. Advanced users have the option of creating their own profiles using an assistant. For each profile, you can define which processes and services should be switched off in detail. All profiles can also be called up comfortably and without starting TWIN 7 via a desktop link.
