Excel - formatting with one click
apply to any number of cells

Icon_Excel10_33x32If you want to apply the formatting of a cell, whether text or graphics, etc. to other cells, this is very easy with the function "Transfer format"
The function can be found as a small brush symbol in the area Start> Clipboard .....

With this function, the formatting of a cell can be copied and pasted elsewhere.
Select the cell whose format should also be used in other areas of the table.
Then click on the brush symbol to activate the function and then on the cell that should have the same format.
The function is then inactive again.

To change several cells, mark the cell to be copied, double-click on the brush and now you can change any number of cells.
The function must be deactivated by double-clicking again or by pressing ESC.

Note that only formatting is adopted, such as frames, colors or text formatting.
Not the text or the graphics themselves.
Copying the font size and font does not work with Wordart text.
