Where can I find the right file?

The path of the ACL files changes with the operating system. One uses Windows XP, you can find the file under

C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Office.

For Windows Vista and Windows 7 The following path applies to users:

C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office.

Here you choose the file MSO1031.acl, backs it up at any location and inserts it back into the correct path after the reinstallation. Of course, there is also the option of transferring this file to another computer.

 

 

Attention!

Should the folder options have been changed in Windows Explorer, certain folders are not displayed in the given path and the ACL file cannot be found. To do this, the following setting must be made in the folder options:

Show hidden files, folders and drives
