There are certainly some Outlook users who multiple email accounts However, there is no need to call up all accounts every time Outlook is started. An effective organization of the e-mail accounts therefore also includes setting up Email groups. For each group you can then individually Settings .
In this example , four existing accounts will be divided into two groups , each with different settings assigned to it. For example, a distinction could be made between private and business accounts.
Under the Send/Receive tab in the ribbon, you will find the link Send/Receive Groups . Here, select the second-to-last item in the drop-down menu: Define Send/Receive Groups.
In the window that opens next, you will find an overview of the individual groups . By default, all accounts are assigned to a group.
With the intention of creating two groups, the existing group is edited first . All accounts are now listed on the left. To assign, for example, account 1 and account 2 to this group, the red checkmark next to account 3 and account 4 is removed.
Once that's done, create a new group via "New" and give it a suitable name . Double-clicking this new group will then remove the checkmarks under "Account 1" and "Account 2" .
For better clarity, the first group is assigned a suitable name via the Rename button.
After now both Our Groups in the List can be seen, there is the possibility of the group Private from the automatic E-mail-transmission to exclude. To do this, the ticks must be removed from the marked areas. After a Outlook-Start in this case only the two accounts is Group Shop retrieved. If you want to call up the private e-mails, one click is under the tab Send receive on the private group necessary.
Depending on your preference, automatic email delivery can be deactivated for both groups . This means Outlook won't retrieve emails on startup. By clicking on the respective group , you can then selectively retrieve emails from only specific accounts.
