Microsoft Office Excel 2007 Programming - The Manual

The book called Office Excel 2007 Programming - The Manual is written by Monika Weber and Michael Schwimmer.
It is available in stores for 49,90 euros, a book CD with code examples and a complete eBook for use on the go is included. First of all, I can say that this book is worth the money and in the article I will try to justify it.

About the authors:

Monika Weber has years of experience in training, support, programming and project management. She has the book Microsoft Excel VBA - simply clip & clear wrote and works on the book Get started right: Learn to program Excel 2007 with VBA.

Michael Schwimmer has worked on relevant forums and as an author on the topic Excel VBA made a name. He's got the book The Excel VBA Codebook - Premium wrote and works on the book Excel VBA master class.

Excel 2007 Programming - The manual is the successor book to Microsoft Excel Programming - The Handbook for Excel 2000-2003.

In terms of size and number of pages, one would assume that this book was not written for Excel programming beginners, but on closer inspection you will find that this book is very well suited for beginners in Excel programming.
The first chapter is Build up basic knowledge of Excel VBA and the following chapter reads The entry into VBA programming, these two chapters alone comprise 177 pages (37 - 213)
Once these have been worked through, you have made the start.

The book is well structured and each chapter can be found quickly using the margins with the chapters. Unfortunately, you cannot copy the code examples from the eBook. The advantage here is that the learning effect is greater when typing.

Conclusion

How could you describe this book? This book starts small and goes down to the last detail. At the end of the book, the authors show what is really possible with Office 2007; you could write your own book for the last few chapters alone.
