1. The first program start
The program should initially be started with administrator privileges . This can be done by right-clicking on the program icon.
The first time you start the program, a welcome window will appear for you to select your language . Clicking "Next" will then take you directly to the program.

2. Set up automatic shutdown with password protection
First, some basic settings should be made using the wrench icon marked here.
The first tab of the options is titled "General . " Here, for example, screenshots can be automatically taken before the PC shuts down. You can also configure when, or even if, a countdown timer should be displayed before shutdown.
Under the second tab of the options , you'll find several security settings . It's important to set a password and disable access to the Task Manager . This ensures that the program isn't terminated against the operator's wishes.
Once the basic settings are configured, you can proceed to the actual setup of the program. This begins with the question: When should a task be executed? This could be several days in between, just a few seconds , or even a specific time of day . In this example, the latter was chosen. So, at 20:00 PM, it's off to bed for the kids.
Under Tasks, you now select the desired mode. Besides shutting down the computer, you can also simply log the user out , if desired . Allow a few extra seconds for closing any open programs. If the black lock icon next to the settings is locked, the process can be started using the green arrow.
Once the last 60 seconds have elapsed, a notification window will appear, or not, depending on your settings. Without the password , this process cannot be stopped . The computer will shut down.
However, if the boss himself is sitting in front of the computer and the countdown begins , it can be stopped without any problems using the correct password.
All settings options via the program interface also remain inaccessible without a password.
Important to note!
It's important to note that password-protected shutdown only makes sense if the computer is also protected upon restart. This task is then handled by the Windows password or a BIOS password.
