Windows Vista boot logo generator

vista_applications.pngWindows Vista includes the option of displaying a boot screen that is not activated by default via a parameter in the system configuration program.

This small but nice English-language tool by Daniel D. Smith offers the possibility to create this boot screen by program.
Only a few steps are required to save a logo of your choice as a boot screen and to include your own graphic instead of the normally black boot screen.
 

 

Application
However, in order to be able to include images as a boot screen at all, they must be available in two sizes

 

800 x 600 pixels and 1024 x 768 pixels as well as in 24-bit bitmap (BMP) format.
When both graphics have been loaded, just click on Save Boot Screen File As ... and the logo (winload.exe.mui) is generated.


The boot screens are to be installed depending on the language.
For us, this means that after the bootscreen file has been created, it will be saved in the windir% \ System32 \ de-DE Path need to be copied.

Version 1.2 is a beta version
It cannot be installed on 64-bit versions of Windows Vista.
An x86 boot screen must not be installed on a 64-bit Vista version, otherwise the system will no longer boot.
