Vista - repair boot manager
If, for example, Windows XP is installed after Windows Vista, XP starts properly, but unfortunately Windows Vista no longer.
The boot manager does not exist and Windows Vista cannot be selected. no problem, the boot manager can be restored using the Vista DVD.
How do I repair the Windows Vista boot manager?
Put the Windows Vista DVD in the DVD drive and start the computer.
In the first screen of the installation select the item "Computer repair options"
The next window now offers various options for repairing the installation.
In this case we need the point "Startup Repair"to restore the boot manager.
Now the Vista boot manager is restored and Windows Vista can be started again.
However, the problem can again arise that Windows XP is not present in this boot manager.
