If you have installed Windows Vista in parallel to your old Windows XP version, you will see the boot menu every time you start your computer so that you can select the operating system to be started.
The default display time is 30 seconds. In order to adapt the display duration to our own needs, we change it in the system configuration program.
How do I change the display time of the boot menu?
To do this, we start the system configuration program msconfig mittels
Start> msconfig (enter in the search field)> Enter
or alternatv
Windows key + R> msconfig> Enter
In the system configuration program that has now started, select the Home tab .
The entry can be found in the area on the right time limit, enter a value here according to your needs.
In this example I have the value 10 sec. .
If no user selection is made during this period, the preselected operating system is started automatically.
Confirm with OK and the next time the beaker is started, the change applies.
