Run Vista programs as administrator
There's a new one in the new Microsoft Windows Vista security concept. However, not many programs are currently adapted for this. Under Windows XP all installed programs automatically had administrator rights, with Windows Vista this is not the case. This leads to error messages that you did not have under Windows XP. for example "The program could not write to file XY".
It can help run or start the program as administrator.
It is important to remember that you always want to run the program as an administrator.
Always start the program as administrator
- Right click on the Linking the program . click
- Here on Features and then on the register shortcut.
- Then up Erweitert... the following window opens. Here the
Hook at "Execute as administrator" set.
All with OK confirm and done.
Tip:
If you want to start the program with administrator rights when Windows Vista starts, simply copy the configured program shortcut to the startup folder.
