10 reasons for Windows 11

10 reasons for Windows 11

Windows 11 tips

Windows 11 is about to start and is delivered pre-installed with new devices or the upgrade is offered directly on suitable computers via the Windows update. But should you update or should you first rely on the sophisticated Windows 10?
What are the advantages of a change?

  1. Windows 11 looks better

Windows 11 looks much more "prettier".
Rounded corners, extended transparency effects and a light and dark mode. From a purely visual point of view, Windows 11 is the much more modern operating system.

  2. Windows 11 works faster

By optimizing memory and processes, programs in the foreground should still run satisfactorily when the system reaches its limits. Certainly one reason for the increased hardware requirements.

  3. New start menu

The start menu now comes without the tiles and is located in the middle of the taskbar, the open Windows 11 start menu hovers slightly over it. If you can't get used to it, you have the option to move it back to the left. You can do this under Personalization - Taskbar - Taskbar Alignment.

  1. Windows 11 is more secure

Certified computers must now have TMP 2.0 and UEFI Secure Boot.

  1. Updates should be installed faster

A major point of criticism under Windows 10 was the frequent and extensive updates, which accordingly took time. These should be much smaller under Windows 11 and can therefore be installed in the background without the annoyance like under Windows 10.

  1. Working with multiple monitors improved

Those who work with external monitors will appreciate that Windows 11 now remembers how the open applications were arranged when the computer was switched off.
At the next start, these will be opened again where they were last arranged.

  1. Window management improved

Window management has improved significantly with Windows 11.
Do you drive with it? Cursor* Clicking on the maximize symbol, a small “popup” offers 4 options for quickly arranging the windows, the so-called “snap layouts”.
I can't say whether this only works with Microsoft applications. It didn't work for me with the Firefox browser and other third-party applications.

Another option is to drag the window to the right or left edge and let go. Now the drawn window is brought to half the screen width and all remaining windows are clearly displayed as in the task view on the other side.

  2. Android apps run in Windows 11

It will be possible to use Android apps like normal programs under Windows 11. However, this function will probably only be integrated from the beginning of 2022. Here Microsoft is entering into a partnership with Amazon. The Amazon Appstore should then be accessible via the Microsoftstore. The prerequisite is of course an account with both providers.

  1. Windows 11 is free for many.

Anyone who buys a computer now will usually already receive a Windows 11 installation or receive an upgrade via Windows update. Pay attention when buying.
Older computers that meet the requirements will also receive an upgrade.

  1. Microsoft Teams is already preinstalled

Greetings from the corona pandemic, Microsoft is now offering pre-installed Microsoft teams. The need for text, voice, or video conferencing has grown so rapidly over the past two years that MS has felt compelled to firmly integrate teams.

Conclusion

Windows 11 is the much more modern and, above all, more secure system.
It's fast and boots significantly faster than its predecessor. The look is successful with slight borrowings from MacOS.
If you have a well-running Windows 10 system and can work well with it, you don't need to change immediately, especially since the Support until October 14.10.2025th, XNUMX should continue.
Since Windows 11 has high hardware requirements, it cannot be installed without tricks on many systems that are also technically well-equipped.
However, if you have the option to install it for free via upgrade, you certainly won't go wrong.
