Enable / disable superbar preview window with Aero Peek

Windows 7 tips and tricksWhat is Aero Peek? With so many visual effects under Windows 7, it is easy to lose track of what is activated or deactivated and where. In this tip I briefly describe Aero Peek and the options for activating and deactivating the functions.

Windows that are open and can be clearly visualized, as well as displaying minimized programs opened in the superbar as a preview window (miniature window) Microsoft baptizes as Aero Peek.

Unfortunately, Aero Peek cannot be set comfortably, such as the tool for Windows XP: Visual Task Tips the Aero Peek of Windows XP

If you don't want a transparent window via mouseover, you can use Right mouse button on the Click on Superbar (taskbar) > Features > Taskbar tab> Uncheck Use Aero Peek for desktop preview or set to activate.

All visual effects can be found under Performance Options. To open the window, proceed as follows:

Home > “Performance information and tools”And confirm with Enter> In the following window click on“Adjust visual effects”Click

Adjust visual effects

In the Performance Options window, further visual effects can be deactivated, but Aero Peek can also be activated or deactivated.

If you just want to deactivate the preview, I have to disappoint you at the moment. The function is not known to me. But if you catch the hook Activate desktop design removed the preview function is deactivated, but unfortunately so are the others Visual effects.

Another possibility to suppress the preview in the taskbar is to set the display time to 60 seconds, for example, how this works is shown in this tip. Set Aero Peek fade in and fade out times

With a simple and comfortable menu interface for the various settings of the visual effects, Microsoft could still score points with private users.
