In Windows 7, the Internet can also be included when searching via the start menu. The results are then automatically output in the standard browser used. This feature can be implemented using the Windows program GPEDIT. Windows 7 Home Premium users have to do without this function.
With the key combination Windows key + R and the command gpedit.msc first open the program:
Now navigate to the left to the Start menu and taskbar folder.
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar
Once you have opened the folder, you will find the setting as the first entry on the right Add “Search the Internet” link to the Start menu. The setting can be edited with a double click.
Now the point "enabled"selected and with Apply approved.
If you enter a search term in the start menu in the future, you will get the following view:
With a click on Search the internet the term is called up in the browser.
