Windows 7: Disable the Program Compatibility Assistant

The Windows 7 Program Compatibility Assistant is intended to help with the win7 logoSetting up older software to help. Often you get the message during an installation: "This program may not have been installed correctly." Nevertheless, everything runs perfectly smoothly. So why not switch off this annoying message.

With the command services.mscthat you can use the keyboard shortcut Windows button + R into the field, you get to the button OK To the Services.

In the newly opened window, look for the entry in the list on the right Program Compatibility Assistant Service.

2_Services

With a Double You can access this entry under the tab General this service too end.

 

 

3_end_service

Then it is necessary to startup type this service from automatic to Manual switch. This is necessary so that the service does not start again automatically with the next restart.
