Check and repair Windows 7 system files

win7 logoAre the Windows 7 system files damaged e.g. B. by other system tools it could have serious effects. As long as Windows 7 can still be accessed, the system files can be repaired with just a few clicks.

 

 

To check the Windows 7 system files and repair them if necessary, proceed as follows:

Windows key> enter cmd> right mouse button on cmd> run as administrator

In the command prompt sfc / scannow enter and confirm. Windows 7 now checks the system files and repairs defective system files.

With sfc /? you can display the command options. Some other examples are also shown.

Command options:

C: \ Windows \ system32> sfc /?
Microsoft(R) Windows (R) Resource Checker, Version 6.0 Copyright (C) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Checks all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with original Microsoft versions.
SFC [/SCANNOW] [/VERIFYONLY] [/SCANFILE=] [/VERIFYFILE=] [/OFFWINDIR= /OFFBOOTDIR=]
/ SCANNOW Checks the integrity of all protected system files and repairs files with problems if necessary.
/ VERIFYONLY Checks the integrity of all protected system files. There is no repair.
/ SCANFILE Checks the integrity of the specified file and, if necessary, repairs the file if problems are found. A full path must be given. path
/ VERIFYFILE Checks the integrity of the specified file. There is no repair.
/ OFFBOOTDIR Specifies the location of the offline startup directory for offline repairs.
/ OFFWINDIR Specifies the location of the offline Windows directory for offline repairs.
e.g. sfc / SCANNOW
sfc /VERIFYFILE=c:\windows\system32\kernel32.dll
sfc /SCANFILE=d:\windows\system32\kernel32.dll / OFFBOOTDIR = d: \ / OFFWINDIR = d: \ windows
