Windows 7 user and system files backup and restore

No external program is required to back up user and system files under Windows 7.
Windows 7 already has this option on board.
This makes it possible to carry out a complete backup of all user and system files, but you can also back up your own folders and files.

To use this function we go to:

Home >> control Panel >> system and safety >> Create a backup of the computer.

In the new window we now choose: Setting up security.
The backup function starts immediately.

Next we determine the location of the backup.
We choose here "In a local network"to save the backup on the local data carrier.

Alternatively, it can also be saved on an external hard drive or on a system partition.

To do this, we now click in the new window Search and specify the storage location.
Here the desktop was selected as the storage location.

After the location has been determined, we need to share it with our Username plus password to confirm.
After confirming, we now click in the window Continue.

Now we have to determine which data we want to back up.
If you want a complete backup of all users and system files, choose here: Selection of Windows.
In this backup variant, however, it should be noted that all user and system files require a certain amount of storage space.
A correspondingly large storage location must be selected here.
Users who want to back up certain folders and files can do this by choosing custom.
This option allows you to back up individual folders and files.

In our example we save the files suggested by Windows.
In the new window we confirm the backup suggested by Windows and click again on Continue.
In the next window we check our details and now click on

Save settings and execute backup.
The backup will now be carried out.

Our backup can now be found at the previously specified storage location (in this example the desktop) and can be restored if necessary.
Our data backup can of course be moved to another data carrier later
Backed up data can easily be restored via Restore >> Restore all user files.

In the following window we click Search for folders
Our backup is now displayed, which can be selected with Add folder.
Attention!
If the backup was subsequently moved to an external hard drive or another partition, the exact path to the backup file must be specified here.

In the next window we mark the backup with a left click and confirm with Continue.

Now we're almost there.
We still select the place of restoration (in this example it is the place of origin) and open Restore.

Now the restoration begins, which takes a little time.

After the restoration, all files can be found in their original location.
