With each newly developed operating system, the number of programs (services) running in the background also increases. These are necessary for various functions, but they are by no means used by every user. In order to free up capacity, it is possible to deactivate some of these services.
Start Windows 7 services
The services are opened via Control Panel> Administration> Services
Start Windows 7 services
Export Windows 7 services
Before changes are made to the list, it is advisable to export the current list in order to be able to reproduce settings again later. This is possible with the "Export list" button.
Export Windows 7 services
With a double click on the desired service, the properties window opens, in which the setting can be made.
Set Windows 7 services
A start type can be added to each service. Automatic, Manual and Deactivated are available for selection:
Automatically: The service is started automatically by Windows 7 without asking.
Manually: The service is only started upon confirmation by the user.
disabled: The service is no longer running.
If you are not sure about certain services, it makes sense to start with "Manual" and only switch to "Deactivate" after a trial period.
