Windows 7 Customize Control Panel (Classic View)

At first glance, the new view of the control panel seems a bit more compact than in the XP predecessor. However, numerous well-known modules are hidden behind the task-oriented view. If you want to shorten the search for the desired settings, you have the option of calling up the approximately familiar interface:

Open the control panel via Start> Control Panel.

You now have the option to switch to "Large symbols" in the top right of the display.

This interface should now be a little more familiar to those switching to Windows XP. However, the system control is expanded by a few modules depending on the number of programs installed. To ensure a good overview, we recommend setting the display to “Small icons”.
