Windows 7 offers many new functions with the new taskbar, but the frequently used quick launch bar or quick launch has disappeared.
However, this is still there, but is no longer displayed by default.
To show the quick launch bar, right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and select in the context menu

 toolbars > New toolbar
An explorer window opens in which the following path must be selected.
Of course, the drive letter does not have to correspond to this example path and the word "user name" is only a placeholder for your own name.

C: \ Users \ username \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Quick Launch

Shouldn't be a folder there AppData to be found, go to "To organize"and select there under"Folder and search options"the rider View and put a tick next to it Hidden files and folders >>  Show hidden files, folders and drives.

Once there, save by clicking on "Select folder"and the quick start bar is displayed immediately and without restarting in the right area of ​​the taskbar.

With a right click on the taskbar and deactivating "Fix the taskbar"in the context menu or"Lock the taskbar"in pre-release versions, the quick launch bar can now also be moved.
Additional options in the context menu for further personal adjustment are the options "Show text" and "Show title".
