Windows 8.1: Start directly with the desktop

Windows 8.1 innovations

Who actually uses Windows normally as a desktop computer and does not actually use the Metro view. Can also get directly to the desktop with Windows 8.1 and not always take the detour via the Metro interface. I will show you how to do this in the following tip.

After starting Windows 8 you are on the Metro view as usual. From here you open the desktop via the desktop tile. In this one click with the right mouse button on the taskbar and go to Properties.

Then a window will open Taskbar and navigation properties. Under the register Navigate in the field of Home there is a point "When logging in or closing all apps, display the desktop instead of the start page". Short remark - the description is not really well translated - :-) But if you check this box and restart the computer, you get directly to the desktop without going via the metro.

Have fun trying!
