For security reasons, Windows-8 also requires a password to be entered for the user profile when the system is started. This is not always necessary and then rather annoying. But password entry is easy to turn off.
Press the key combination Windows key + R
The Windows 8 run dialog appears.
In this give netplwiz and confirm with OK.
The command netplwiz now starts the user account dialog. In the User tab there is the entry "Users must enter their username and password".
Remove the tick in front of it and confirm again with OKAY.
To be on the safe side, Windows-8 now asks you to enter the user password again and, after confirming, with OK the setting is adopted and Windows 8 starts immediately and without prompting for the password the next time it is started.
