Windows 8 will be the first Microsoft operating system to support ARM architecture. Almost all smartphones have ARM architecture processors. This means developers only need to program their special Windows 8 apps once and all supported platforms can run the apps. Of course, a system requirement is a multi-touch display if you want to use the numerous touch functions.

The 64-bit version is supported 192 GB working memory in the Professional and Ultimate version.
The 64-bit version Windows 7 Home Premium supports only 16 GB of RAM.
