Turn off Windows XP messaging service
Unfortunately, this service can also send advertising and that is exactly what annoys you when it happens.Who doesn't know that, e.g. After a new installation, Windows XP is finally stable and safe, but suddenly a gray window opens with an allegedly important message.

No, this so-called message service is completely superfluous for single computers.
Only if e.g. If there are several computers in a network, messages can be sent from computer to computer via the message service.

That is why we are giving instructions on how to switch off this service.
To deactivate the messaging service, proceed as follows:
Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance
In the next dialog choose Management
Then you click on services
In this window you look for the entry news agency
With a double click this window appears.
The start type is now set here.
This must be on Deactivated to stand.
Then up Apply . click
And now the changes with a click on OK to confirm
Now you've finally got rid of these annoying messages !!
