Deactivate system check (RegDone)
- Category: XP tips security
- Reading time: 1 minutes
The system is checked by Microsoft every time there is an Internet connection until the registry value "RegDone" is set to 1.
This is usually the case when you run the first Windows update. What exactly is queried is not known.
(If anyone has any information about this process, I would be grateful for a short message).
How do I set the RegDone value to 1?
Start >> run >> regedit
The key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion search.
In the right window RegDone open with a double click and the Value on 1 put.
