Shut down, restart, log off or hibernate via desktop shortcut

A desktop link makes it possible to use the
Shutting down, restarting, logging off or hibernating computers quickly.
The program is responsible shutdown.exe im System32 Directory.
The behavior during restart or shutdown can be adjusted via parameters.

 

How do I create the links? 


Right click on a free area of ​​the Desktop >> New >> Shortcut choose.
Enter the shutdown or restart commands given below in the "Create shortcut" dialog.
Now click on Next and give it a meaningful name, e.g. B "Shutdown".

Shut down:

% systemroot% \ system32 \ shutdown.exe -s -t 01 -f

(Shuts down the computer with a delay of 1 second and closes all applications)

Start anew:

% systemroot% \ system32 \ shutdown.exe -r -t 01 -f

(Restarts the computer with a delay of 1 second and closes all applications)

Sign out:

% windir% \ system32 \ shutdown.exe -l -t 01


The parameters are explained as follows:

-s = shutdown

-r = restart (reboot)

-l = Logout

-t = Time without further information is preset to 30 seconds.

-f = terminate all running programs.

-01= Time specification 1 sec. In connection with -t.


Idle state:

% Windir% \ System32 \ rundll32.exe powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState
