XP - change username and company name



During the installation, personal information such as the name and company name is recorded
queried and saved. There are also other programs when they are installed
Query this data and present it in input fields that have already been filled in, it is
annoying when these are no longer correct.

 How do I change the username and company name?


Start >> run >> regedit
Find this key:  
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion
The entries can be found in the right window
Company name:
organization.png

 

User name:
owner.png

 

 

Double-click the entry to be changed and enter the desired value.
The changes are available after a restart.
