Restore the "Show desktop" icon

The icon "show desktop"in the quick start bar at the bottom left is extremely practical,
all open windows can be minimized with a single click.
But what to do if this icon has disappeared.

How do I restore the "Show desktop" icon?

Open a text editor or choose using right-click on the desktop New >> Text document

Enter the following lines in the editor:

[Shell]
Command = 2
IconFile = explorer.exe, 3
[Taskbar]
Command = ToggleDesktop

Save this file on the desktop as Desktop.txt and close the text editor.
Now click on the file with the right mouse button and choose rename.
Change the file extension from Desktop.txt to Desktop.scf
The message that the file is no longer usable can be ignored and confirmed with Yes.
The last step is to drag the Desktop.scf onto the quick launch bar using drag and drop.
The function should then be available again.

Tired of creating the file yourself?
Download Desktop.scf  (zip)
