Windows XP is preconfigured so that the operating system has available updates
automatically from the update server and only before the installation
gives a hint. Furthermore, it is not clear which information is actually transmitted.
If you deactivate this function, you should always ensure that you load the latest updates manually.
How do I deactivate the automatic Windows update?
The automatic update function can be switched off in the control panel under:
My Computer >> Show system information >> Automatic updates >> Deactivate automatic updates.
