Deactivate Alexa and what is Alexa?

What is Alexa actually:

The "Show related links" function is linked to the Alexa Internet website and from there a plug-in can be installed by the user.
Contrary to all rumors, the plug-in is not installed by default.
The data described below will not be transmitted without installing the plug-in.

The Alexa service saves every website with the Internet Explorer
is called, while the surfing behavior is analyzed and the surfer related sites
offered. Not bad at first glance, you have to be aware that this is the case
loads of data are collected.

You can read about it on the Alexa website:

Information about visited websites
Your own IP address and the url of the website, including passwords (if forwarded in the url).
Data entered in online forms.
Information about the browser and operating system used.
Analysis of the paths on the web for the purpose of classifying purchasing behavior.

Anyone who has installed the Alexa browser plug-in receives a cookie with a personal identification number
and from now on information about online purchases will also be saved

How can I deactivate Alexa?

Find this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\ c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a
