How do I deactivate the boot logo?
Open work place
Open the drive on which XP is installed
Open the Boot.ini file (if not found, see tip Make system files visible
Look for the following entry under the [operating systems] section:
multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" / fastdetect
Depending on the version, the entry may differ slightly.
Behind / Fastdetect wear now / noguiboot .
Save the file and the logo will be gone the next time you start it.
{jumi [plugins/content/jumi/de_cms_inContent_300x250.php]}
There is also the way to Boot.ini via the control panel
Start >> Control Panel >> System >> Advanced >> Settings
(under Start and Restore) >> System start section
Click on edit and the Boot.ini will open
