Shut down with turbo

A quick shutdown is prevented by the started services.
These services are in memory and XP tries all of these services first
within 20 sec. to end.
After this time has elapsed, they are forcibly removed and the computer shut down.
This 20 sec. can be reduced to a millisecond with a registry entry.

How do I shut down XP in turbo mode?

Start >> run >> regedit
Find this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ ControlSet001 \ Control

In the right window the character string waitokill.png search.

WaitToKillServiceTimeout open with a double click and the value of 20000 Milliseconds 2000 put.

 waitokill_2.png

2000 corresponds to 2 seconds. Every system should be able to cope with that.
If you want, you can of course also enter a 1 (1 millisecond).
But problems are likely in this case.

Important restriction:

This solution may cause the opposite effect
(i.e. a delayed shutdown) in connection with the
Deletion of the swap file during shutdown.
See this tip: Delete paging file on shutdown
In this case, the tip must not be used, ie for
ClearPageFileAtShutdown must be a "0".
