Hallo,
This is my first time in this forum and I hope that I am in the right section.
I have a question about wallpapers.
I have a laptop with a docking station and work with 2 monitors (laptop screen + externally connected TFT). Both have different resolutions (1400x1050 + 1280x1024). My operating system is Windows XP Professional + SP2.
Now I would like to display my wallpaper on both monitors. Unfortunately, this only works when I use an image as a background. As soon as I use an HTML wallpaper, only the background of the 1st monitor is displayed correctly. The 2nd monitor only shows the background color.
How can I display the HTML wallpaper on both monitors?

Hello and welcome to WinTT !!!
I moved the post to a more up-to-date topic, where you had previously posted it hasn't been for YEARS
Well, what you want to do will not work that way, because Windows can extend the desktop to a second monitor, but an html background is displayed over a kind of "frameless window" and this only works on the first monitor.

Windows can't do this by default. This may be possible with a small additional program that is able to sensibly distribute background images, taskbars and program windows on both monitors under Windows just like with Linux. Here is the url: UltraMon Overview (Unfortunately no German language pack is available yet).
You have to try whether this works with an html wallpaper.
It may then be necessary to adapt the html file in order to position the elements in such a way that they appear on the second monitor when the background image is stretched across both monitors. Or you are trying to change the parameters of the frameless html window.
Btw, special "normal" background images for multi-monitor operation can be found here: dmb - Dual Monitor BackgroundsRegards

Thank you for moving it :)

I've already tried it with Ultramon. Unfortunately, only image files can be configured here.
Does anyone else have an idea or another tool with which not only image files are managed?
until then

Possibly. the html file needs to be adjusted in order to position the elements so that they appear on the second monitor when the background image is stretched across both monitors. Or you are trying to change the parameters of the frameless html wind Pretty Background Wallpapers
