A few days ago all problems with the laptop seemed solved, now the next one is on the agenda. See here.
I press the power button, the fans go on, but do not go to full speed, which is usually the case at start-up. The screen remains completely black. I can only switch it off by pressing and holding the power button. If I repeat the procedure about 10-30 times it starts until I shut it down. I actually rule out the screen as a source of error, since it affects when the laptop starts up.
I always start with electricity from the mains, could it be due to the battery? It's not the newest anymore and should be changed from time to time. I've also read something about BIOS reset or BIOS battery change, is that possible? If so, how do you change them? Is that possible?
Toshiba L350 no longer starts, no BIOS, screen remains black

I currently have an almost identical problem on one of my PCs. The fan starts up, the screen is active, but no picture. The only difference is that the PC does not start up even after x attempts. Replacing the battery on the mainboard was unsuccessful, the connections are clean and not loose. The cause of the error is probably the power supply unit. I will check that in the next few days and have it replaced if necessary.
For the replacement of the battery on the mainboard, here is a video that describes the replacement on a PC.
Change BIOS battery - this is how it works

UHUHUHUHUHU !!!!!
We recently had something like that with our JLAS computer (association)!
We shot the fuse, and when we switched it back on, the power supply failed!
Symptoms: fans start after 10 reboots, hard drives, BIOS, CPU, etc. but NOT !!
General tip: Replace the power supply, it fixed the problem for us,
Or just build it out of the wrong place, if it has the classic burning smell, then 95% of the reason is that!MFG 2F

It is a laptop, as I have already described above. The power supply unit is therefore no longer necessary. I'll replace the BIOS battery next, then I'll see.

In the meantime, I've thrown in the towel and brought my computer to the dealer. The friendly employee at Atelco has (unfortunately) replaced the power supply and graphics card without any results and is now tapping the mainboard. Analysis is running and I am waiting for an estimate. Unfortunately, similar-sounding error messages often have different causes. But the solutions to the problems are interesting.
@ don @ lexXx: if it doesn't make any effort, please report whether and how you have solved your problem.gruß

I'll do it. The BIOS battery will be replaced soon, that will be the last idea. If that doesn't work, I'll blame the motherboard or parts of it and then it'll be disposed of.

The Bios watch only holds the settings, otherwise it does nothing at all (an exchange does not help at all). In principle, the batteries last a few years. I have a laptop standing here with the same black screen characteristics. the only thing that worked was the bios, because I could still set the startup drive.
I ran Paired = the result was no HDD drive found; so drive checked, internal USB controller defective, next bought a new drive; Result after installation no operative system found, i.e. mainboard defective:A repair is of no interest, as the available hardware hardly fits together with an older model.
On another laptop that I also had for repair, only the HDD was defective with a black screen, a new HDD was installed and everything was OK. -
Yes, the power supply for the laptop is outside, my fault.
But I mean, more or less the unit that feeds the mainboard, USB, processor, etc.
A laptop power supply usually has 15-22V, USB runs at 5V, and the CPU runs at 1,5V,
From this one can conclude: There is another supply unit in the laptop itself, and it will be defective. If it is, then yes, all well and good, but it will be soldered to the mainboard,
and thus make the whole thing unusable.Have you ever checked the power supply yourself?
Whether the tension that comes out is what it says on it, what should come out?
Maybe the part is simply undersupplied ...
