Hi all,
I just checked it, exactly a year ago I had already written a post and I had no display in the task bar. Now that my computer was littered and the problem was still not resolved, I completely reinstalled Windows 10 last weekend.
Now I have my display in the task bar, but only five, I can see the rest by clicking on an arrow pointing up !?
And the whole thing I don't change anywhere. What's going on there, so far it has actually always worked.
Again problems with the taskbar

Not sure if you mean the icons in the system tray next to the time. There you can call up further program symbols by clicking on the arrow. If you want to see them all directly in the taskbar (without clicking the arrow), you can activate them under - Settings / Personalization / Taskbar / click there Select icons to display on the taskbar -. However, you garbage the taskbar with it. Seldom needed program symbols can be easily called up by clicking on the arrow.
Additional system symbols can be found by clicking on - Settings / Personalization / Taskbar / there click on Activate or deactivate system icons- show in the system tray.
Hope that was the problem.

Hi Manni,
Yes you are correct with the symbols next to the clock. I looked again in detail, as you described it, but found nothing with which I can display all symbols. This is still in my mind from Windows 8, there was exactly this possibility, in my opinion, even with a right-click on the taskbar. But here at 10 (I have the Captain Kirk Edition) I can't find anything suitable. You know, I would like to see what is going on in the background and what is creeping in so secretly and since I actually never have 2-3 windows open, that doesn't bother me much.

In order to permanently display all program icons available under Windows 10 in the taskbar, you can go to - Properties / All Settings / Personalization / Taskbar - there Show icons for display in the system tray click the switch at the top, which is set to OFF by default. It then jumps to ON. All available symbols are then displayed in the system tray. There are quite a few. Which are you still missing?
Alternatively, the symbols in the taskbar can also be activated in other ways:

Hello Manni,
Please excuse me, it took a little longer, but I've almost lost the desire to search through the settings. Exactly as you described it to me it was before and so I had it in my head. I just didn't find it and already began to doubt "about myself". After a long break, I have now tackled it again on the holidays and went through the settings in peace. I noticed that the option "Show icons for display in the taskbar" was grayed out (for whatever reason) and I therefore deliberately overlooked it. Yes, now ... What to do ... grayed out means not on selectable. Now I clicked it anyway and lo and behold ... It worked!
In addition to the system tasks, the running tasks were also swallowed up and that's what I was concerned with, I can hide the system tasks. The whole story is a bit dubious, but also Windows10.
In any case, thank you very much for your help, without which I would probably have given up again.
Greetings you kindly

With pleasure. Sometimes you tend to give up on complex problems. Often times, in a quiet hour, an alternative route comes to mind. As is well known, many roads lead to the goal at Window. And as you have already learned: Try makes you smart.
