Hi there,
I have the following problem: last week the nice people in pink were with me to install the Speedport W 503V, they also managed more or less. At least the most important lights shone afterwards. However, and now comes the problem, I've had huge problems using the Internet ever since. Before that I enjoyed internet via dlink, these are the things here: http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/images/product…m/Dev_Audio.jpg
but the old plugs would not have been able to cope with the speed of the new device, I was told. So worried about new plugs, then the internet went partially, so half of the packets arrived, so really few, the internet was correspondingly slow, provided it was working. Sometimes nothing worked, and restarting didn't work either. Then I tried the whole thing with WLAN, using a Fritz WLAN USB stick. No sooner said than done: plug in, signal strength: good. Excellent! Think ... Internet is 5 minutes, then nothing ... PC restarted, 5 minutes of Internet, etc. I've looked around a bit and CHIP.de says:
"WLAN routers that use the current 802.11b / g standard (11 Mbit / s or 54Mbit / s) use a very specific frequency. This starts at around 2,4 GHz. Wireless connections don't just have to be share a very narrow frequency range, other devices such as cordless telephones (DECT), microwave ovens, baby monitors and even Bluetooth devices such as cell phones use the same frequency band. Interference (overlapping) and other disturbances are therefore preprogrammed. Always make sure that the WLAN router Maintains a minimum distance of about three meters from such devices. "
My phone is right next to my PC, cordless. In addition, my cell phone and iPod are always close at hand! Can that be responsible for it? I've already asked in other forums that all said, "Just never buy from T-Online again!". Great, and next? I hope you know more and I thank you in advance for your answers!MfG Patrick
