Thank God I didn't do that. But as already described above, Windows is installed cleanly without all that crap.
Then made a backup.
So far it's going great.

Hello Menne, please use the quote function carefully.
Not every post has to be repeated with a full quote.
Cleaned up something in the thread.
Thank you
Hello people,
first of all thanks for your help.
I installed Windows 7 Home 64 bit cleanly. Goes great. Better than before, with all that promotional stuff.
I can only recommend. Download and register with your own key.
Now the next problem. Office 2007. I have 2 users. But I only want to take one with me to the new Läppi. Windows Easy Transfer takes both with you. do you have a tip for me?
Thank you

This is the Toshiba recovery partition.
Thank you. Then I can delete it. But first save it on my external hard drive

I have one more question before I set up the system again.
On the partition D is a folder (HDDRecovery) 8,04GB and a file R12510GR.tag. What is this for and can I delete this then?

Something you should consider before you change anything on the operating system......
Thank you for your detailed reply.
But I can't imagine that the guarantee will expire if I can't restore the original condition.
Because of the drivers, I still have a question. If I have reinstalled the system, can I search for drivers on the backup CD? Have I understood that correctly?

In principle, anything can come out in autostart, ......
Thanks for your answer. I'll take a look too. But I think I'm rebooting the system. Isr then nice and clean and the way I want it to be.
Hello Menne,
the corpses you feared......
Thanks I'll take a look.
What about the autostart? What can come out of that now?
Here's a link, but I can't give you any guarantees about the link and ISO.
So download at your own risk ;).Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit version
http://msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent.net/msvista/pub/X1…3/X15-65733.isoAccording to the url it looks like a Vista version but is under Win 7. You should use a download manager for the download. Up until now you could still start the download.
This is the English version.
Found something here Microsoft improves: ISO image for students - Page 2 - ForumBase
Hope this is legal.
What can get out of the autostart now? Can someone help me?
What do you mean by that exactly?
I bought the laptop with the operating system. But there's always a lot of crap on it that you don't need.
That's why I wanted to install the pure operating system, without the bells and whistles that are always included.
You can uninstall everything and then make a backup, but you'll still end up with dead bodies.
I once saw that Microsoft offers Windows XP for download (but I don't remember where). Is this also available for Windows 7 Home Premium 64.bit?
Hallo,
thank you for your reply.
Yes McAfee wanted to uninstall. Then tend towards AVG. I think it's free and really good. Or something better in mind?
Then to the autostarts. I wanted to use all the hardware that is installed.
But not really features from Toshiba. Because I don't actually use them.
So I don't know what can and can't go.
Is there actually a way to get the Windows version free and legal. Do I have the number?

Hallo,
I bought a new Läppi (Toshiba Satellite L650). And leave it as it is for now, because I want to test it first.
But since there are so many programs in the autostart now, I don't know which ones I can disable. I use the CCleaner.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
Attached is a text file with the startup programs.
