It is of course a good thing if the employer tries so hard and provides all the necessary "equipment" to his employees.

Hello!
I don't regret anything fundamentally now, as it is well known that one learns from mistakes. It's never too late to learn foreign languages. It is just not so easy to foresee what you will need in a few years when you are young. I have a good friend who invested a lot of time and money in learning the Chinese language in her day. It didn't do her much good, she would have learned Spanish better, because she emigrated to Spain because of love ... and had to go to school again to learn Spanish ...
With regard to specialist translations. I agree with Manni's opinion that a translation agency that might also offer industry-specific translations would be more suitable. Had already used the services of the Translation Agency, were provided with them Technical translation satisfied. This is just a tip, but there are certainly more agencies that do a good job.
Best regards and have a nice weekend!

Hey guys,
many work from home in the current situation. In order for this to work and, for example, weekly meetings or conferences to be held, some tools and software are required. The same applies, of course, to the sharing of files and general communication with colleagues.
So I wanted to know from you what kind of programs are in use and how you are generally coping with the situation.

Hello Hello!
I'm brand new in the city (Karlsruhe) and will be there by the end of July. Then I fly away to get my diving license. For this I would like to do both swimming and diving courses, which can prepare me for the license. Do you know where you can find information about the diving course in particular? I searched briefly and did not find a lot of helpful information.
Thank you

Of course I got to know Java and PHP during my studies and also got a taste of other common programming languages.
In my first job I needed php every now and then, and now I am facing a new beginning and somehow I have to dig into Java again, because I probably need it more often.
Is it like cycling, don't you forget?
Or do I have to start all over again? -
My last purchase was Harz cheese.

Mh, you have planned a lot! A website has to be set up properly from the start, otherwise even the best-ranked advertisement will be of no use. In addition, someone has to update it regularly so that customers and prospects also check it regularly.
The other question is whether a broad mass is interested, but your customers can decide that.
For example, I think the Wordpress hosting from Pixel X is good: https://www.pixelx.de/wordpress-hosting.html
Different packages are offered depending on how (in what way) you want to design your website. In addition, the servers at PixelX are in Germany, which sets them apart from other providers and is of course an advantage for data protection reasons.
You can take a look at the offer. It is actually easy to understand even for "non-IT people" and the packages are well broken down. The Google ranking is also taken care of
I once suggested it to my boss, who is already busy doing research.

Well, I think warmth and sun are okay, but this sultry-hot monster that has been floating above us for a few days and doesn't want to discharge, so that's not mine!

I would also not reverse any of my professional decisions.
You never know which experience you would have missed because of that, which you would sorely miss today.
When traveling back in time just to change something in the past, you should be careful ... numerous Hollywood blockbusters have shown me that.
In addition, you are never too old to study or study, you do not have to turn the clock.
A colleague at WB Fernstudium completed a distance learning course in media informatics 12 years before retirement age: https://www.wb-fernstudium.de/kursseite/mast…rmatik-msc.html
Why?
Simply because he wanted to continue his education and at that time it was not possible in the GDR

In general, your question is pretty difficult to answer. It's always a little bit about the purpose of the file. If it is a question of preserving something for as long as possible and the medium on which the file is now located (e.g. magnetic tape) has a short half-life, then digitization makes sense. For example in the form of a file on an SSD hard drive (longer service life). I don't find what you do privately with your media as exciting as the risks and opportunities in the work environment. For a while now, it has been a matter of transforming a huge mountain of analog data and making it usable, and all of this against the background of the data protection issue, such as in this article is discussed.

So I'm a huge fan of laser printers! I just find it easier and especially when you print a lot it is totally worth it and you don't have to constantly fiddle around with new ink. But as Mannitwo already says, it's just more expensive ... Would you really have to look at what is cheaper for you: laser printer or ink printer plus printer cartridges. If you use the inkjet printer, I would advise you to compare everything carefully and see what you need and what you cannot use before buying printer cartridges. Look up the page here, because you can see how the prices differ ...
Otherwise, maybe as a tip: In my opinion, printing photos is of better quality if you have it printed out at photo booths. Didn't have a good experience with normal printers.

Hey,
at the university these courses are unfortunately only for students. There is the possibility of attending lectures as a guest auditor.
However, there is the possibility of doing the Cambridge Certificate as a distance learning at a distance learning university.
So you can get it well with your training under one good ( Languages in distance learning and distance learning at SGD ).It should also be possible that you put the course on the weekend on weekdays when you have more time.
In a distance learning course, the part that you have to work on yourself is relatively high anyway and there are tutorials at the end
with other people.
But do you have to take this certificate in order to be admitted to the TOEFL or do you see it more as preparation? -
