At the moment I only use Windows’s own anti-virus program - that’s enough in the private sector with normal surfing behavior.

As I am a great lover of Italian cuisine, the choice is not difficult: Definitely pizza!

I listen to music and surf the net on the side - including here in the forum. Today is my first day of vacation

I think it depends a lot on the company. In most cases, however, email marketing is still very good.
I see it that way too. Especially those who have a relatively small but loyal clientele can achieve a lot with newsletters and campaigns. Good campaigns distributed via e-mail can also trigger word of mouth.

Is any program / plugin still accessing it? Then it could be that the program / plugin prevents deletion.

Hello people,
I'm looking for a good office chair so that I can sit for a long time without problems and without back pain. Does anyone have any advice? It's hard to give a tip: Because every person and every back is built differently (logically). Therefore, it usually only helps to pay attention to the common ergonomic functions and to try sitting the chair in advance. It also depends on the rest of the configuration of your office! The table and monitors also have to be aligned at certain angles - there are some recommendable guides online (Google will help).

Well, Excel already offers a few options, but there are good alternatives, especially for larger amounts of data.
It is clear that these are probably not free of charge, but that is also not Excel or Microsoft Office. That doesn't necessarily have to be the case: There are quite a few very useful free alternatives to Excel on the market! I am thinking primarily of Calc, an open source solution (available as part of the highly recommended office suite "Libre Office") or Google Sheets. I personally also work with the latter option - but only in smaller projects and only when parallel work is necessary. If you are looking for the Excel range of functions, then Calc is preferable - in my opinion, it is hardly inferior to the model. Smaller companies in particular with smaller amounts of data should be able to get by with this for the time being if they do not (yet) want to or cannot invest in such software.
There are also a few other free alternatives to Excel, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. It is difficult to say whether any of this will be considered for the thread opener - for that the question would have to be asked a little more specifically. If free programs are desired, offers this comparison of popular programs a good first look. I hope this helps first!

It is a shame that the thread-opener did not comment on this. I would be very interested in which program prompts you to deactivate the firewall. It seems very strange to me

Interesting thesis: I'm not quite sure whether it will last. Under certain circumstances, you may want to distance yourself privately from school systems and then just go for a different system. But in principle it is of course true that familiar surroundings are easier to connect with later. But I wouldn't rely on that - after all, the quality, price-performance ratio or your own financial situation are also decisive for a purchase decision: Just because you had Macs in school doesn't mean everyone will buy later: because the products are significantly more expensive than Windows PCs. If you are short of money, you should hardly use a Mac.

It is even more worrying that supposedly harmless advertising banners can lead to "infection" ... :(

I'm a huge console fan of the Resident Evil franchise. As far as I know, the games (at least the newer ones) are also available for PC. Are you looking for more shooter-heavy games or something more in the direction of adventure?

My grandma once won 18 euros at bingo. Play bingo after around 50 years
Wow - that does say a lot. I also can't understand why people are still spending their money on it when the chance is low. So I'm not and never will be a lottery player.

The Windows 10 Home Edition is available for € 9,99. I bought it once last year. The only disadvantage: you have to activate it by phone.

ManniKrass this method is completely new to me. But I am surprised that Microsoft is apparently so relaxed about it ...

Thank you (I admit, clearly too late) for the welcome! Unfortunately I had a lot on my mind at the moment, but now I'm trying to get involved more often here in the forum.

Hi all,
I've just signed up here and hope to be at the right address with you: I recently switched from Mac to PC and so I'm not really familiar with Windows. I am therefore looking forward to many helpful tips!
About me: I'm Marcel, come from Duisburg and a passionate collector and user of Apple gadgets. I now have to use Windows professionally in the office and at home. Let's see how it is. But with your help, I'll be fine!
We read each other and best regards
Marcel
