I use avast! Professional under VistaUltimateSP2RC and Windows7UltimatePreRC.
With both operating systems, avast! no problem.
In the beta test (TAP program), there were problems with updating and stability in both systems under AntiVir8. -
I partly agree with you.
But for most users it is simply nothing, since 80% of users need windows to surf and play.
Therefore, the share of Linux users will never significantly exceed the previous 4,3% market share.
Although I'm at home in IT, Windows is just more convenient for me. -
Vista Recovery CD Download
In a preliminary version of Service Pack 1, Microsoft included such a CD image, but unfortunately removed it from the final version. I had looked for it for a long time and now found it again. I can't find the direct download from Microsoft at the moment.
This is a "repair CD", not a "finished" VISTA DVDWith this you can repair the Vista start manager (bootloader), reload an earlier restore point or a completed backup, initiate the memory test or call up a command line window to manually execute commands.
You may not Click on "Install Now" but click on "Computer Repair Options".
You have to open the ISO file directly with the burning program - a CD is sufficient. When you insert the burned CD, a file "bootmgr" and two folders "boot" and "sources" must be visible, then everything is correct. You then insert the "finished" CD, restart the PC and boot from the CD, possibly reset the boot sequence in the BIOS.
Download:
http://www.drvista.de/download/recov…recover_x86.iso 32bit
http://www.drvista.de/download/recov…recover_x64.iso 64bit
This "tool" (Vista restoration.iso) was offered by Microsoft at short notice to deal with destroyed system file elements
which prevent a start, allow a repair of the system.
Unfortunately I can't find the link to the original file at the moment.
In the RC0 or in the Pre-RC1 of the SP1 was it still contained in the installation software in this compilation.
It's a "bootable repair console" that also has an "Install Now" feature - but the one in this tool
shows no effect and leads to termination again. -

Nein!
Vista cannot be installed alongside another system.
....look here: https://www.win-tipps-tweaks.de/forum/101317-post15.html -
Completely uninstall and then reinstall.
If you cannot reinstall, first use this tool from Microsoft to remove the remains of the driver:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d…1bd/msicuu2.exe
This also allows other programs to be completely removed, especially if the error message "Error 1721 " occurs. -
... recently bought a test PC for 299 € myself:
-AMD X2 6000
Since the shop is only 80 km away from me, I picked it up myself.
Loading makes a clean impression - and because the 160GB hard drive wasn't there, I was given a 250GB hard drive at no extra charge.
Unfortunately, this shop in Friedeburg will soon be handed over to a franchiser.
Service and advice OK.
There are only a few PCs available directly.
PCs are assembled in Leipzig after ordering
and then shipped. -
Contrary to other reports in the network, there are versions 5503/5508 NONE significant changes compared to build 3311.
QuoteAside from fixes for common Windows Update issues and the inclusion of HD Audio support, there are no significant differences between the beta version (Build 5503/..08 and XP SP3 RC2 (Build 3311). Translated text
So wait until the middle / end of April.

NO.
Install Nero7 would be an alternative. -
Ad-Aware is "Free", but after installation it requires an open internet connection to complete the installation.
Before the download, a mail containing the key for the freeware will be sent.
This is only activated when you register.
As long as this does not happen, a key is requested again and again.
In the "Free", however, some actions cannot be used.
If you try to use it, a new key is required which must then be bought. -
here the installation on a "clean system":
You install XP on C: /, then Vista on D: /.
If you then call up Vista, (do not be surprised) Vista is suddenly C: / and XP D: / - ie you must always pay attention to which operating system you are in when saving data on another partition.
Since you have now installed Vista, you now have to change the boot sequence under Vista - if you want XP to start first.
You can do this with a tool (TweakVi or BCD) or directly via the Vista control panel.
1):
You can release your administrator rights under VistaUltimate / -Business / -Enterprise yourself as follows:
Right click on "Computer" in the start menu.
Go to "Administration" -> "Computer Management" -> "Local Users and Groups" -> "Users" -> "Administrator"
Now just check the box next to "Account is deactivated" remove and restart the computer.
2):
This procedure works for the Home Premium version:
To activate the administrator account, first open the Explorer and look for the program there
cmd.exe. Since this program is hidden from "normal" searches, you have to click on "Advanced Search"
click and then check the box next to “Show unindexed, hidden and system files”.
After a while you will find the cmd.exe program. Now with the right mouse button on it and as administrator
carry out. So you have the command prompt with administrator rights. Now the command for
activate the administrator account:
net user administrator / active
From now on the administrator appears next to the other created user account (s).
However, the administrator account should not be used as a work account, but only for tasks
which actually require administrator rights!
The administrator account is deactivated with
net user administrator / active: no
this is how the partitions look like: -
The following problem may exist: the hal.dll is missing or has been destroyed.
Reinstall a copy of the above file in C: /windows/system32/hal.dll if you can still access the partition.
Download: DLL-files.com - hal.dll, free download
Otherwise: reinstall
all you have to do is boot with the Windows CD in the drive. The CDROM must be set as the first boot drive in the BIOS. Then you will get a message "Windows setup is being loaded" and other things. After about a minute you will be in a menu in which you can select the installation partition. You can also delete all existing partitions there. If this is really what you want, then mark the partitions one at a time and delete them away. Then create a new one and enter the total available size of the drive for this partition. Then you can install a clean Windows in this partition. -

I switched to Vista Ultimate (test reward for the beta test) since December and I'm glad I did.
I installed Vista on my 2nd partition (1st is XP Pro).
Due to a crash in XP, I was no longer able to access my data under XP. Neither savepoints nor the recovery console worked - the system was completely shot - which is why only a new installation (with loss of data) would have helped me.
Since I had carried out a complete PC backup under Vista, I was able to save at least Vista with the Vista DVD and thus restore XP. I only missed the last week - which I could get over.
And finally ...
Use Vista and regularly make backups and save them externally if possible.
Incidentally, the complete restoration of Vista and restoring the PC backup only took 17 minutes in total. -
HomeServer, good thing - even if it is still a bit "jerky" for me.
Are you a beta tester? Have you already received the invitation for "VISTA MCE"? -
For the most part, I agree with you.
Did you download it ???
By the way, the English text is "original Microsoft", so it is also possible for XP!
As you have already written, it contains parts of DX10
AND playable Demos and "Previews ".
The drivers can be installed in the Windows folder, also show those of DX10 in the list in the DX driver display. As I have already written, a correct display is only possible with an appropriate graphics card, otherwise everything stays with DX9c.
Anyone who is at MSDN registered, can download the freely available programs without an MSDN subscription.
Like me, who only has a TechNetPlus 2.0 subscription, but also receives updates, beta's and development tools every month - instead of every 3 months at MSDN. -
Download DirectX10 SDK with demo displays, RTM since December 2006.
If there is no DX10 graphics card, it can still be installed - it doesn't do any harm, it still shows 9c as the installed version. But you can see the differences with the demo.
Contains original DX10 drivers.
List for which Windows versions possible - is already available for XP today.
