Hallo,
just set up my complete OS and reinstalled everything. There is a picture and a sound too .
but the volume icon is missing in the task bar at the bottom right There is a loudspeaker symbol for this (such a brown loudspeaker) and it says "Realtek HD Audio Manager". It used to be there too and nor the volume control!
When I look in the device manager under audio, video and game controllers, only "Realtek High Definition Audio" says nothing else
Help, what should I do to make it appear down there again ???
Loudspeaker symbol in the system tray gone with Vista HomePremium

Go to C: \ Windows \ Sytem32 \sndvol32 This is the file for the volume control, then go to Start / Settings / Taskbar Start menu / Start menu / Customize / Add / Search now it goes back to System 32 and adds the file sndvol32, further to use AUTOSTART restart and the The controller is back in the start menu.
