Anyone looking for antivirus software on the Internet and via the antivirus-security.net page. trips should be very careful.
* news graphic *
A free full version of G Data is offered on the site.
And so that the offer is also accepted, a security warning is immediately presented via an advertising banner.
In order to get access to the software, registration is of course required.
If you have done this once you get:
Only Trial versions of the software which are also available for free online and one Invoice of 316 euros.
But G Data definitely has nothing to do with this page.
G Data is currently reviewing legal action against it antivirus-security.net.
If someone fell for this trick, don't worry.
Bills should be ignored and not paid.
It is threatened with a Schufa entry and a debt collection office.
But the demand will not be enforced in court.

Hello
well how great I have neither downloaded anything nor received anything else but a bill of 79 euros. -
I was also pretended by this "company", in Austria the Chamber of Labor helps you with such cases and that for free.
In addition, there is an offense of fraudulent deception, if necessary there is a class action.
stay hard and don't be intimidated.

Clear information about price, performance and rights of withdrawal must be clearly visible before the contract is concluded - the Supreme Court agrees
Vienna (OTS) - Internet providers that are liable to pay a fee must clearly state the price on the website. In addition, the price, performance and information about the right of withdrawal must be sent to the consumer by email before the contract is concluded. An email with a link to the terms and conditions is insufficient. This has now been confirmed by the AK's Supreme Court.
At the beginning of 2007, the AK filed a lawsuit against IS Internet Service AG, formerly Xentria, which advertised with supposedly free text messages and life prognoses. They turned out to be cost traps. Young people in particular fall into the trap of supposedly free offers on the homepages. Once you have sent your data, you will be asked to go to the cash desk. Because you don't see the prices at first glance. They are often hidden in the fine print. Those who do not pay are immediately threatened with additional costs, legal letters and legal proceedings.
The Supreme Court now makes it clear that misleadingly designed websites with hidden price information violate competition law. Paid web services are therefore misleading if they only have the prices in the small print or in the terms and conditions. Price, performance and cancellation policy must be clearly conveyed before the contract is concluded. An email with a link to the general terms and conditions is too little and also illegal.

I registered here for the test version of 14 days which can be read thickly on the page. after the 2 weeks I received an invoice of 79 euros, which I ignored at first and a week later a warning. how should I react now?

Hello
My personal tip would be:
Take everything written to the consumer advice center.
Invoices, reminders, ect.
They are very familiar with such companies and can give you advice and help.
The same then with the police.
Possibly even place an ad.
-------------------------------------------------- ---
Sorry, but otherwise we are not allowed to provide any legal information here.
That is reserved for lawyers.
When you have a good one on hand ... a phone call doesn't cost the world.
-------------------------------------------------- ---
But it's good that you reported here.
A collection point is always good for these things.
If you should learn something important in this matter, please report back here.
Will also help other injured parties! -
I also wanted a free version, so I registered and there was never any mention of renewals in the terms and conditions or 79 € but also no version on my PC because I then downloaded a free version of Antivir. Yesterday I received an invoice from Dubai, but when I asked how that could be, no answer came back.
I don't know exactly what to do now because this "company" has so much data from me.
-
and there was never any mention of extensions in the terms and conditions
Finally someone who reads the terms and conditions, s completely.!
Now, of course, a screen would be an advantage, but who does that?In some cases, the homepage of these providers will be changed after signing up.
With a click on the back button that would also be seen.
But what would 100% of the users not do then, why should they?In any case, do not make any payments.
Get sued .. Then they have to prove that everything was legally ok, and that will be very unlikely. Please get in touch if you have something new
-
Well, there’s really something going on.
My super clever son, 13, has the crap too
downloaded, the usual picture: nothing on the pc but ask for coal.
We have allegedly already received the second warning, but that's rubbish, nothing has come up so far.
Headquarters also here in Dubai, represented in Germany by:RS Web Services GmbH & Co. KG
PO Box 1231
85503 OttobrunnAll very dubious, I will probably also go to consumer advice.
If someone knows more: I'm grateful for every tip.PS Take care of your kids!
-
Unfortunately I also registered there, but never got a confirmation for the registration, then a direct reminder by email and now a letter home (last request for payment), also from dubai and the same company and address as yours with ottobrunn. I also threaten debt collection companies. So far I've ignored everything, but I think it's bad that you have my full address, it's no longer email spam ...
am grateful for tips
-
Well that seems to be the case that everyone logged in at the same time ...
Yesterday I also received an invoice asking for immediate payment.
I won't do anything at first because I haven't even received a reminder beforehand. But to be honest, I am a bit nervous about the fact that more bills will fly into the house and then I'll have to pay.
But the company is dubious anyway, I tried to call and at 17 p.m. I called outside of business hours, I didn't even know that 0180 numbers had such a thing as business hours.
So I wish us all the best of luck and otherwise only a class action will help ...
In this sense, good luck and don't be so angry with the child.
-
hey i downloaded that too
and I didn't really look at it before and forgot again that I downloaded it because I can't find it anywhere on the PC.
Then the other day I got the e-mail which I ignored, but today my mother came to me and presented me with this invoice
What can I do now? -
I also received this invoice for 79 €.
In the first moment I already thought that I clicked something unnoticed somewhere.
but thank god i'm not alone with the crap.
I greet -
The same thing happened to me as happened to everyone before me. In the thought I would use something for free, I received an invoice for 79 euros and now a reminder with 87,11 euros. You are threatening me with a debt collection company and I'm really scared that this is going to court. What should I do now? Should I just ignore the reminder?
-
First of all, I'm glad that I wasn't the "stupid" person to fall for this company. That's really the worst kind of thing they're pulling off. Even the company headquarters "Dubai" should make you think ...
We were also asked to enter our data via a button on another website. There was no question of any costs. After more than 2 weeks (mind you: the period of notice is 14 days after registration!) Suddenly came the invoice stating that we had concluded a 2-year contract with half-yearly costs of 79 € each !!!
Although the notice period had expired, we immediately wrote a complaint by e-mail and received a satisfactory answer that the registration had been canceled as a gesture of goodwill.
That was about 3 weeks ago. The day before yesterday suddenly came a "last request for payment" stating that we had already received a reminder and are now threatening debt collection companies. However, I noticed that I suddenly had a different customer number. I called them immediately and after a long queue I had a very unfriendly lady on it. She told me that I had registered twice (strangely, within 6 minutes ???). When I asked why I only received one invoice, she replied that the second invoice had been sent to the other email address. Well, now I only have one! I asked what it should be called, and she told me some letter combination and web.de at the back. I mean, everyone can look for an address in the phone book and register under my name under any pointless email address and I will then get an invoice? They are supposed to prove to me that the registration (supposedly!) Is mine, I definitely won't pay.
I also go to the consumer advice center, after all, others should also be warned about such dubious fraudsters.

So the number of postings clearly shows me that a lot of people from this company ............. became.
It is all the better that a contact point for injured parties is created here.
But now something more important about posting in this post and in the news in general.
In order to protect these threads from spammers, which we don't need here, all responses are put on hold.
Specifically, this means that they have to be checked by the forum team.
So it can happen that your contributions do not appear here at the same time.
But if they belong to the topic, they will of course be unlocked.
So keep checking back here to see if there are any new answers on the topic.
Thank you for your understanding for this approach.
Your Win TT team -
My son also downloaded gdata there. The homepage came from kino.to. We already received the second reminder. I have already sent two mails, unfortunately without an answer.
A picture of the homepage can be found at gdata-pressecenter. Here is the link to it.

I have the same problems, only received the reminder with an additional fee. I wrote an e-mail that I never used their service. They write all my data back to me and then this here:
In accordance with 1. Of our terms and conditions, by entering your data and clicking on the registration button, you have submitted an effective offer to conclude a contract, which has been accepted by the operator in the confirmation e-mail, so that a legally effective and binding contract has been concluded would.
During this registration, the terms and conditions had to be explicitly marked as read.
This contract obliges you to pay the usage fees in the amount of € 79,00 every six months in advance.
6. terms of payment
6.1 An amount of EUR 14 must be paid for the 0,00-day test access. The subsequent half-yearly customer contribution is € 79,00 (including VAT). The customer contribution is to be paid six months in advance and will be billed to the customer accordingly.
We can therefore ask you to make the payment on time.Your antivirus security team

But they still want their money.
Now wondering what I should do ??? -
