Hallo,
As stated above, my MD8800 with XP Pro crashes with a BlueScreen as soon as I want to switch to the idle state.
Now I've already done the following:
RAM (2GB) tested and OK (with Linux boot CD and program)
HDD tested and OK (Windows standard tools)
Since I don't trust the latter that much, I deleted the two files pagefile and hiberfill and then properly defragmented the disk. So ... if it is not due to the RAM, it must be due to the disk ... both files created again (this time in a different place) and lo and behold ... nothing was done
Does anyone have any idea why that could be
Blue screen when calling standby or hibernation

Take a look at the following page to see what the blue screen is trying to tell you:

Awesome!
Thank you very much for this link!
I only have about 1 second to look, but maybe I'll find out what it says. -

Prevent restart:
The computer might restart immediately if it is configured to restart automatically when a system failure occurs. If you want to disable this option so that the computer does not restart, press the F8 key during startup and use the arrow keys to select the option Disable automatic restart on system errorand press ENTER. -
So the whole thing takes place in a hundredth of a second.
When the PC goes into sleep mode, it closes the desktop and shows sleep mode ... then comes the blue screen and then it boots.
So no chance for me to see anything. At first I thought I might be able to take a picture, but no, no chance. -

Disable automatic restart on system error

Even if you could read that fast, that's in the HEX-CODE, you won't understand a thing!
There is a nice program called "BlueScreenReader.exe", it lists the recent BlueScreens and reads out the HEX CODE, for example: I found that the BlueScreen when starting NFS-HP is not from the system, not from the game, but from the graphics card!
Here: just unzip and take a look, maybe again a BlScr. provoke, and then just start.good luck with it!
